Counterbalance/Pilot-to-Open Cartridge Valve Technical Tips

Individual Technical Tips for Sun products currently found only in Sun catalogues are now being revised and updated. Pertinent technical information is being added for all of Sun’s newer products.

The purpose of this highlight is to announce the release of the first in a series of revised and updated Tech Tips Highlights that will now be available on the Sun website as stand-alone pdf files that are easily downloadable.

This first updated highlight covers Counterbalance and Pilot-to-Open Check Valves and in addition to updated information from previous “Tech Tips” contains:

  • Counterbalance Overview Table with helpful reference notes
  • Application Tips which include instructions on how to set a counterbalance valve in a working system, when necessary
  • Pressure Setting vs. Turns Table for counterbalance valves.
